2 Percent: Apple’s Tax Rate Outside The US (55 Percent of Its Sales)

We had spotted multiple stats on Apple sales and some interesting stats on how GE paid effectively zero tax. We spotted a stat today, that outside the US, Apple paid just 2 percent tax (Source)

How do we digest this? What is the scale of this number? Let us try this: Apple makes more than 55 percent of its revenue from outside the US. When you put the 2 percent tax rate in that context, this suddenly is a big deal.
