Amazon: 45 Percent Increase In Workforce In One Year

Clearly, Amazon is up to something. Our guess is that a tablet is in the works, to compete with the iPad. We’ll see.

” In Q1 2010, Amazon had 26,100 employees (full-time and part-time, minus contractors). In Q4 2010 (just nine months later), that number rose to 33,700, and in Q1 2011, that number reached an astounding 37,900. That’s a 45% increase of its workforce in just one year.”
