Here is an interesting fact we spotted about Google Search Results:

Google never serves up more than 1000 results.

Try this, for example:

Google Search Results for the term “Hello World” starting 1000th Search Result

You will see this response from Google:

“Sorry, Google does not serve more than 1000 results for any query. (You asked for results starting from 1000.)
Your search – hello world – did not match any documents.

•Try different keywords.”

So much for ‘one followed by one hundred zeros’ – from the Wikipedia entry for Google:

“Eventually, they changed the name to Google, originating from a misspelling of the word “googol”,[37][38] the number one followed by one hundred zeros, which was picked to signify that the search engine wants to provide large quantities of information for people.[39] ”
