Broadband Statistics: UK Broadband Speed Climbs 41 Percent In A Year

Very rarely you see a growth number that high in the developed markets. But UK seems to be doing a lot of things right on the connectivity front – we spotted this stat today, that in the last year, broadband speeds in the UK have gone up some 41 percent (Source)

And so the obvious question: what speeds are we talking about, anyways? The average internet connection speed in Britain is now 7.9Mbps, and top speeds are recording peaks of 36.6Mbps. 20 per cent of the country now has access to broadband speeds of more then 10Mbps.
