Well, wealth numbers always surprise us – we spotted this stat today, that the wealthiest 20 percent in the world hold almost 94.5 percent of all the world’s money – and a bonus stat – the richest 80 people in the world alone now possess more combined riches than do the poorest half of the world’s population (Source)

VC Money Flowing Into US Companies: 2014 Best Year Since 2000

Here is something to celebrate, as long as the word bubble is banned at the party – 2014 was the best year for companies receiving VC money since 2000. We spotted this stat today:
