We had spotted some comparison stats on China Internet Stats and India Internet Stats – we spotted this today:

“China’s software and IT services industry grew 32.4 percent in revenue in 2011, as software exports and outsourcing due to rising customer demands helped boost the market.

According to a report by Chinese news site Xinhua on Sunday, the country’s software and IT services raked in 1.84 trillion yuan (US$292.2 billion) last year, and the growth was 4.4 percent higher than the industry’s average growth rate during 2006 to 2010.”

How do we digest this number? Well, we know India’s outsourcing numbers and the global IT market size – 292 billion, while not a big part of the overall IT spend of 3.6 Trillion USD, is not negligible either. Look at it this way – one in twelve dollars of IT spending goes to China.

Also remember China Millionaire stats – every second millionaire in China wants to emigrate!!

By comparison – India’s IT BPO Market is just 88.1 billion USD., less than one third of the chinese market.
