Housing Statistics: Prices See Biggest Jump In 7 Years

This would actually come as a huge relief to US homeowners – we spotted this stat today, that U.S. single-family home prices, as measured by the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index, jumped 12.1% in April – the fastest increase since 2006 for the 20-city index (Source)

How good has the comeback been really? Prices are still some 25 percent below the bubble prices, so there is still a lot of climbing to do.
