Income Stats: The Top 1 Percent’s Income Goes Up, Others’ Goes Down
February 16, 2013 11:34 amThe recovery is on – we had written about the housing recovery some time back – while the numbers look neat, the details don’t. Here is what we spotted today: that in the recovery, the income for the people who are in the ‘top one percent’ category rose by 11.2 percent. But for everyone else – basically the other 99 percent, earnings declined by 0.4 percent. (Source)
We had spotted quite a few income disparity stats in the past – including how much taxes the rich pay. This recovery does not seem to be for everyone, clearly.
