Newspaper Statistics: Subscribers Spend 25 Minutes Reading Physical Copies Vs 2-4 Minutes Online

We had spotted some digital journalism numbers in the past – we spotted this stat today, that subscribers of physical newspapers spend 25 minutes on average reading them, compared to the 2 to 4 minutes they spend on a news site online (Source)

And here is the interesting part: newspapers in the US make about one-eighth of their total ad revenue from online ads, roughly in the same proportion as average time spent. Now that is a solid business case for concepts like Medium that focus on measuring and increasing the time spent in reading content.
