$22.8 Billion: Total US Newspaper (Print) Advertising

Newspaper advertising in the U.S. has sunk to a 25-year low – Online ads generated $3 billion for newspapers last year, an 11 percent increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, print ads dropped 8 percent to $22.8 billion.

To get the scale right – Google’s 2010 revenues stood at $29.321 billion, significantly more than the total ad spend on newspapers, digital and print combined.
