Well, something is definitely happening between Walmart and Facebook. We spotted this set of stunning stats today:

1. Throughout the 2012 holiday season, Walmart is running a staggering two billion ads on Facebook.
2. 50 million Walmart ads popped up on Black Friday weekend alone, when the world’s largest retailer shut out the competition and bought up all the Facebook ad space available in advance.
3. The ads attracted over 100,000 comments from people who presumably saw the ads.


Here is the issue – we have seen the impact of social media on black friday sales, and it is not much. How will Walmart measure the impact of this facebook campaign?
