Weather.com Gets Ten Times More Traffic Than Weather.gov

We spotted this in Nate Silver’s book The signal and The Noise – Weather.com, the private website owned by The Weather Channel, gets some ten times more traffic than Weather.gov, run by the National Weather Service. And the data is provided free by the National Weather Service.

Private built on Public Data : Public built on same data = 10:1.
