57 Percent: Foreign Ownership Of US Treasuries

We always knew a lot of US Debt is held by foreign central banks - we had spotted some statistics on exactly how much US owes to China. Today we spotted this statistic:

"The dramatic growth in foreign ownership of U.S. Treasuries over the past two decades -- which increased from 37 percent in 1997 to 57 percent in 2010"
