Angry Birds Has Been Downloaded 250 Million Times

We have written about how many times Angry Birds has been downloaded before. We have also written about other Angry Birds statistics. We spotted this today:

"Already the game has been downloaded 250 million times, up from 100 million only three months ago. Every month 50 million play the game. Some days, players spend a combined 200 million minutes pelting pigs with their iPhones, iPads, Android phones and PCs. The game costs 99 cents ($4.99 on the iPad) to download and comes in 40 versions with 300 levels, most of which are free. It is the biggest-selling paid app ever and still number one in 80 countries. It sells character downloads in the game for a buck or two, plus millions of stuffed toys, T-shirts and flip-flops. It now enjoys the dubious honor of being the third most knocked-off brand in China, trailing only Disney ( DIS - news - people ) and Sanrio's Hello Kitty."
