The 'Forbes 400' Worth More Than Half of All Americans Combined

We have not done this specific comparison in the past so we are not sure if that is even a surprise - but we spotted this stat today, based on the Forbes list of richest Americans, that the 400 richest folks have a combined net worth of 2 trillion dollars - that is more than the net worth of half of all Americans, combined (Source)

There are other obvious comparison points for this number - for instance, the GDPs of many countries. The number is a significant jump from last year and complements the stat we spotted recently that the rich have not wasted the 2008 crisis
