Xbox 360 Stats: 70 Million Units Sold Since 2005, Nintendo At 97 Million

Microsoft has been a silent winner in many markets - the Kinect sales guiness world record came as a surprise to us as well. We spotted today, this stat that the Xbox 360 has sold some 70 million units since 2005 (Source) - Nintendo has close to about a 100 million units sold - but it is ahead of Sony.

Here is how we chose to digest this stat - the top three players have planted some 235 million game consoles in consumers' homes. Well that is a huge number - remember this is mostly a one per home device, and that kind of reach is unbelievable.
